Cecily's Story
A fellow classmate from CWRU asked me to post a story, so here goes:
Said classmate was photo editor of the yearbook, and I was one of two photographers for the Observer (college paper). The yearbook was approaching a printing deadline and said editor convinced me to provide him with some of my photos from the archives. I did so, and promptly elicited the unbridled rage of the Observer photo editor, who was not the sharing type. In spite of the mess, the 1976 yearbook looked great, David!
That was not as embarrassing as situation #2:
The assignment was CWRU football practice before the game. I was new to the scho...Expand for more
ol paper. The other photographer was also a confident young pre-med student, but he knew his way around the job. The team had finished practice and we were essentially done with our work, when the coach called the guys into the clubhouse for a last minute pep talk. My co-worker and I followed. I stopped short at the door, and my friend insisted, "Come in, it's fine." It wasn't. As soon as they discovered there was a female in the room, there was an uproar, first from the team, and then from the coach, who yelled, "Get her out of here! NOW!"
Suffice it to say, all my other assignments were of fully clothed athletes.
