Life Growing up in Colorado, I started dancing at age 3, creative movement with Fran Page,then as i got older studied hip-hop, modern, african. Started choreographing and performiong with my own dance ensemble at 17, Original Fusion Dance Ensemble, in Arkansas, after training with my longtime dance teacher, Fran Page, of the Aspen Dance Connection, colorado. Original Fusion, became a few different things and I mostly turned to Traditional West African dance and drums. Moved back and forth from Carbondale to Fayetteville for a few years, and ended up in Fayetteville where I got married, had Liviyah, and trained/danced with Afrique-Aya, under the direction of Djembe Fola, and master dancer from the Ivory Coast, Yoa Kuku Angelo.
