Charilyn Wells's Story
Trained as a lawyer and skilled negotiator, my real estate clients get the best of the bargain, whether buying or selling. I can skillfully match anyone anywhere with a top quality agent to help them buy or sell real estate anywhere in the world, through my firm's global network of leading independent real estate companies. I'm currently a Realtor and Associate Broker with McEnearney Associates, Inc - the most productive real estate firm in the Northern Va area for getting results for clients. In the greater Washington metro area, we get our seller clients closest to the original asking price in less time than any of our competitors.
Family is my passion. Being the grandmother of 3 adorable children gives me tremendous pleasure. Cameron (10) is a scholar athlete who plays baseball, select soccer, basketball, and is testing for his brown belt in Karate this summer. Brody (8) loves math and reading, plays soccer and LaCrosse, and cracks up his classmates as a bit of a wise guy. Victoria (6) is super creative and loves singing, dancing, writing and illustrating story 'books,' and playing soccer. She's a talented artist - keeping her in sketch pads outruns her allowance.
But living as they do in the SF Bay area, I don't see them as often as I'd like. Their parents are my pride and joy, having become such talented, sensitive, loving and caring adults. Jimmy Cowan graduated from McLean (class of 1988), met his wife Kristy Tosh at Duke (undergrad), and she supported him through Med School at Georgetown as a lawyer in education law. Dr. Jimmy is a practicing Radiologist with Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Mountain View, CA. And the kids' great grandparents are still healthy and living alone, enjoying their lives, and adding vitality to generational relationships - for which I am so grateful. My Mom, Janette Wells (89) is healthy, but definitely retired and preserving her energy. My Dad, Bill Wells (90) is still occasionally working as a consultant, traveling to China a couple times a year, but living in Lakeland, FL to be near his young grandchildren. My Stepmother, Elisabeth Wells, died of a stroke last year in Lakeland at the age of 82.
Likewise with my siblings, whose love and support I cherish and whose families add great energy and fun to our reunions.
Brother Michael Wells (MHS, class of 1965) built my house 12 years ago and now lives in Gates, North Carolina - with his HS sweetheart, Penny Heishman (Marshall, class of 1966) - where he works in the home improvement field in the Portsmouth, Va area.
Sister Roberta Wells Orr (MHS, class of 1974) lives in Fairfax, Va with her husband Bob Orr and son Greg Wells - they're all computer gurus.
Sister Larisa Wells (Langley, class of 1977) is an entrepreneurial computer guru consultant and full time landlady for riverside vacation cabins in Elkins, WV - where she lives with husband Carl Bolyard (nurse) and son (9) Eli Bolyard-Wells, who reads anything and everything several grade levels up.
Half-brother Marcus Wells (Marshall, class of 1989) is a skilled (but layed-off) aircraft mechanic who now lives in Lakeland, FL, working as a school bus driver and single Dad for his 3 children: Bradley (10), Curtis (9), and Athena (8).
We siblings are all so different but provide loving support to one another and our parents. Since we're all scattered now, we get together each June for a family reunion at my sister's cabins in WV.
