Charlene Aleshire:  

College Began at VA Western, transferred to Dekalb College. Additional studies thru UGa. The wildest thing I think I ever did in school was apply for the Homecoming Court my senior year. I was truly shy while going to school and this took a great deal of courage. The thought of presenting myself scared the devile out of me. Although I did get some votes, I didn't make the court. I always envied the court members. I had two secret crushes. One was an upper class member, the other was in the same class as I was. The upper class member and I did eventually get together and although we didn't stay connected like I wanted, I'd like to think that he and and I are still friends - think about him alot. He's married with one child - college age now. The second crush I found out later actually had a crush on me but felt like I wouldn't go out with him. We were friends in school and we did run into each other several times after graduation. He's still a friend and we don't "see" each other, we do email each other. He's also married with a daughter.
