Charles's Story
Life
Well, 20 years since HS graduation. I remember when my father went to his and telling him he was an old man. lol. Shorty after our tenth year reunion, as I was living in Washington, DC, I meet the women of my dreams. It may sound corny, but I knew after our first date this was to be the women I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. We were married on June 21, 1997. It was the happiest time of my life. On October 9, 2001, the love of my life lost her life at 0709. I was by her side when she past. Our last words together, shortly before she past, was that we loved each other. Since then I have been trying to get over the lost. I have become very involved in work. Well, that's it in a nutshell. I look forward to seeing everyone at the 20th and catch up with everyone else.
College
Well, I received an AA from Broward Community College and went on to a BBA in International Business at George Washington University. I graduated in 1995. Better late than never. I then upgraded my degree to a MBA in Finance from Florida Atlantic University in 2000. I have just finished the course requirements, from University of Central Florida, to sit for the CFP exam in March of 2004 and will be taking ...Expand for more
the LSAT in Feburary.
Workplace
Well, I have done just about everything. I started my career with Eastern Airlines. I started out as a ramp worker and moved upto a division head within 5 years. Of course EAL went out of business so I went on to complete my education. In college, I worked for the RNC (Republican National Committee) setting up leadership conventions. It was a blast meeting many Senators and Congressmen. After graduation, I moved back to Williston for a year to work with Coca Cola in Gainesville and then moved to Fort Lauderdale to work for Amoco Oil Corporation as a Field Operations Manager. I then became a Mortgage Broker and moved on to a Commodities Broker. Then it was off to Nations Bank as a Banking Center Manager. I was recruited to join Bank United as a Banking Manager and was there for two years until I was recuited by Union Planters. With Union Planters I was a Private Banker, working with high Net Worth individuals. I decided to take a couple of years off to do some traveling around Europe. I accomplished a few things after my traveling. One, I started my own construction company. Two, I became a pilot for an airline. Three, I remarried and now have a wonderful son.
