Charles's Story
Greetings from often the coldest place in Minnesota- it is called Embarrass which is often in the record books, In January we had three days below -40 degrees, and I don't mean wind chill.
I have three children,2 sons, one in China, Columbus, Ohio, and a daughter in Orlando Florida. My wife and I moved to Northern Minnesota some twelvc years ago drawn to both the recreational opportunities ( Boundary Waters Canoe Area) and Superior National Forest. on Ore is mined, and it is an interesting area. In January and February I often wish I did live in Florida. I am an ELCA Lutheran Pastor which is whole other aspect of my life and I enjoy the work but sometimes find the endless responsibility tiring.
Here is the update, I have moved to a more moderate climate, Vancouver Washington in July 2012. My other half was offered a dream job and I told her to go for it, since I saw llimitations to Minnesota's Iron Range. I do miss it, but I am glad to be in a more metropolitan area.
