Charles Bender:  

First of all I have to say I have lived an incredibly blessed life. I look forward to the future and everything it has to offer. Lots of life after High school. I joined the US Navy right after graduation. Went to Boot camp in San Diego and Fire Control Class "A" School in Great Lakes Illinois before joining the crew of the USS O'Callahan FF 1051 stationed in San Diego. While in the Navy my ship went into the Yards in Seattle for an overhaul where I met my first wife. We divorced a little over 3 years later and fortunately had no children. I hope she is having a great life. The Seattle area has been my home ever since. I left active duty in 1988 and got into the investment business. I learned a ton from some great people about people and business that has served me well ever since. In 1992 I began working in the Dating industry helping single people find their mates. Shortly thereafter I met my wife of over 20 years. The next 13 or so years were spent building a national company designed to help people find love, provide children with two parent homes and remove the stigma of using Dating services as a viable means of meeting people. Today websites like E-Harmony essentially use our exact methodology to far greater success than I was able to accomplish. Celia and I have two boys, Calen, born in 1997 and Corbin, born in 2000.
