Enlisted U.S. Navy, 7 Jun 54, shortly after graduation. Married to Del Hansen (Racine, Wisconsin) in 1957, five children. Retired from U.S. Navy on 1 July 1984 as Command Master Chief, Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. ee in Social Work (MSW). Employed as a Clinical Social Worker with Central Baptist Childrens Home, Lake Villa, IL; U. S. Navy Hospital, Great Lakes, IL; American Red Cross, Mid-America Chapter, Chicago, IL; and Family Service Center, Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. Retired in July 1999 and moved back to West Frankfort. Am enjoying living in a small community again and being retired.
