We would like for all of our friends to know our Class of '63's plans for September's 50th Reunion: Thirty-Third Avenue High School – Class of ‘63 P. O. Box 1881 Gulfport, MS 39502 January 30, 2013 Hello Mighty Trojans, Records indicate in 1963 the average cost of a new car was around $3,233 and gasoline was .29 a gallon. The average household income for a middle class family is estimated to have been around $5, 807 annually and the cost to mail a letter went from .04 to a nickel and the list goes on. What a difference in comparison with today’s cost of living! Records also indicate that in May of 1963, our high school class graduated from 33rd Avenue High School. That was fifty years ago! It’s time to celebrate! Many of you have inquired as to whether we were making plans for a class reunion. The answer is an overwhelming, “Yes”! Your “hometown classmates” and a few out-of-town connections have been working hard, planning for our “50th” Class Reunion. We need to hear from you! Let us know if you plan to attend, so that we can count you in. After careful consideration and much feedback, it is the consensus of the group that the highlight of this Grand Occasion will be a New Orleans Riverboat Jazz Cruise and dinner up the Mississippi River.
