Man, that little quick and dirty life story wizard they have here sucks. things were misinterpreted a bit. did many of those things , but not others. so i thought that I might dance around the calendar a bit. Course that means I kind of have to figure out how, where and why I might want to do this. Maybe I should think on this first. I kind of figured it might help me describe all of this for my kids. My touble being that I was stung early by the variety bug. You know that - renaisance man thing. I had high hopes, sometimes a little too high, doncha know. Am sort of watching Olympic swimming here. Kind of threw that out when I left Hawaii for Buffalo after getting out of the Navy. Was doing Olympic times while in the service for the distance race. But I enjoy watching it now since it is rather cool here for swimming. Hawaii spoiled me big time for fun in the water. Well, I'm gonna take off and think about this. Maybe I will return. Went to UB and then to ECTI after being suspended. partied too much. never had learned how to study at WCHS or before, and went skiing for days on end. was known to be found in various bars on different nights of the week around the WNY area. Worked in construction and at GPO. Uncle grabbed grabbed and LBJ cried war. CO of one ship had started the damn thing! In Navy, served on several ships including USS Charles Berry where the skipper asked me to lasso a russian icbm. This also afforded me a chance to look up at a rogue wave topping the mast from the deck during the first of two typhoons and to stopping the ship when I saw us about to crash into a reef in the middle of the South Pacific. I also picked up 48 article 15 court'smartials and went down in rank more than I went up. Married the Admiral's Daughter. T'was fun, doncha know. Well, after some conversations w. self and ...I remembered how busy I was then. I had to make a choice of re-enlisting or extending to continue my qualifing for the SEAL's, We were only married for less than a year(admiral made sure of that), We were having our first child. Debating going back to UB or stay in Hawaii and drive boats for the port, re-joined the family and intro my family to all and sundry, or move to Europe for school. Friends and family became the draw and we returned to WNY. Probably a good thing since my maverick streak came out again since I'd rather spend time w. wife and child(Heather Lei) than doing the meaningless stuff I was doing in the medical holding company of Tripler Army Hospital. Finished my BA in Drama n Theatre at UB. Did alot of work behind scenes but enjoyed working with Royal, Shakespeare and Open Theatre workshops( SamShepard). Smoked with both groups as we partied at our place. Did some opera(Cradle Will Rock, Knight of the Burning Pestle, Oh, What a Lovely War and Played the Lone Ranger. Undergraduate Rep to plan Amherst Campus. Went back to Hawaii to have 2nd daughter and to get away from BPD. Had protested campus takeover and Demands. Anti-war marcher. Saw student vs BPD thing coming. Worked as Rent-a-cop( including Diamond head Crater Music Festival) and travelling theatre company in Antigone and attempted grad school with kabuki and Tennesee Williams "Rose Tatoo" while doing moves around music ...Expand for more
