Charles Keaton:  

It's hard to believe that it's been over 35 years since the Class of '74 roamed the halls of RHS. Even though I was only there for the last three years of high school, I really enjoyed the times we had and remember fondly the classmates I had and especially how they accepted me into the class. Since high school, I've graduated from Texas Tech, got married to my wonderful wife, Donna and produced 3 great kids, Charissa, Rusty and Kami. Charissa is married to Cory and they have the two most beautiful little girls, Taryn that will three in August and Rhealee who entered the world March 12. They live in Brownfield and teach there. Rusty works in Lubbock holding down a fulltime job with Logan's Roadhouse and coaching high school flag lines around the area. Kami is a senior at Texas Tech and in the Goin' Band from Raiderland and also works for United. After graduating from Tech, I worked several jobs but spent most of eight years in the soft drink industry before returning to graduate school at Tech and getting my teaching certification. I then taught at Seagraves for 7 years before moving to Lockney in 1997 where I'm the Director of Technology for Lockney ISD. I've been an educator for the last 19 years and really enjoy the challenges of the every changing world of technology. This school year (2008-09) produced extra challenges as our high school building was destroyed by an arsonist Jan. 11 & 12. Definitely a shock to get a call around midnight that your school is on fire and have to go try to save your network servers and then spend the night pushing 61,000 gals. of water out of the building to keep the junior high from suffering extensive water damage. The next 2 years will be interesting in planning the technology side of the new building. Donna works for the county. We stay busy with church, children, community activities and attending Texas Tech Football games.
