Charles's Story
Life
Anyone who remembers me may well remember that I felt a call to preach at a very early age. I have been in pursuit of obeying that call since I was young. I attended Long River MS in Prospect CT for my middle school years. I was elected the first president of the student council which was formed during the beginning of my 8th grade year. Mr Miller was our principal and Mr Dance was our Vice Principal.
I felt led of the Lord to move to TX in February of 1982. I was then 16 1/2. I moved to Ft Worth TX where I stayed with a great-aunt, great-uncle and cousin until I could find my own place. I attended school, worked a job, and attended church. I attended Naugatuck High School before leaving for Texas and in February of 1982 I began attending Amon Carter Riverside HS in ft Worth. To be honest, my life is a blur when it comes to Riverside HS. I did not really have any friends there and I was so busy trying to support myself and do the things I needed to do, that I really have no recollection of anybody at that school. I am always happy though to hear from anyone who may remember me. I had certain teachers there who really stood out to me, like; Ms McVay (DE), Ms McCowen (English), Ms Brown (Choir)...

stian ministry. I pastored two new church works on behalf of the Church of God (Cleveland TN), and went on to independent (non-denominational) ministry in the late 1980's. I married briefly in the mid-1980's, but the girl I married left me and I lived single for many years. I have engaged in church planting ministry in CT, NYC, PA, GA, TX.
I founded and pastor a Pentecostal church in Dallas/Garland, TX called "Grace Oasis" aka - "The ONE Church In Christ Jesus." I love what I do. Feel free to check out our ministry online. I have been engaged in ministry work since leaving High School. I actually left Naugatuck HS in 1982, going to Ft Worth TX where I finished my HS education.
I was married briefly in the mid 80's, but the young lady I married decided she wasn't ready for marriage and left me shortly after the wedding. This was a very unhappy time in my life... I finally remarried in October 2015.
My brother Michael, whom many of you knew, married Tammy Norton of Naugatuck. Tammy died in 1998. They had three children, two boys and one girl; Michael Jr., Krystle, and Kurtiss. His girl, my niece, gave birth to my first great-nephew, Gavin, three years ago Easter Sunday.
My youngest brother, Dallas, served in Iraq after 9-11 and has a son from his first marriage.
