Charles's Story
Well, I have lived out here in California for over 45 years now. Have been back to Marengo four times twice for reunions in that time. Hey, it's not because I don't miss the area, but I think of Southern California as my home now...
I left Marengo for the Navy Reserves in 1977. After Boot Camp at Great Lakes NS, I was transferred to Hospital Corpsmen Training in San Diego, CA. I never came back to live in Marengo after that. I did a deployment from 1980 to 1982 stationed on the USS Ashtabula (AO-51) out of Pearl Harbor, HI. We spent 8.5 months on a tour of numerous Asian Countries.
I divorced my first wife after 17 years of marriage. I am proud that I adopted her four kids (now in their 40's), and I am super proud to say that they are mine. I have a 4 beautiful Granddaughters and 5 handsome Grandsons. My...Expand for more
2nd marriage only lasted three years, but we are still friends. Hehehe...
I am a retired cop with 19 total years on with three different departments and the last eight of those doing Fraud Investigations. I am currently a CA licensed Private Investigator (CA License #PI25082) called Reinbolz Investigative Services. I do Private Investigations & Security Consulting, part time, for some Southern California companies.
It was great seeing everyone at the reunion in 1996 & 2016.
I am fully retired now due to medical / disability problems from being in occupations that were way too hard on the young Charlie body (Cop, Firefighter, Navy, Security, Body Guarding and Big Rig Driving). I definitely went "all out" over the past 40+ years.
