Charles's Story
Life
After graduating from Corcoran in 1969, I went on to MVCC in Utica to learn electronics. That let to a job at Stromberg-Carlson of Rochester, NY in September of 1971. I got married in 1972, and am still married to the same woman. We have two boys. Both are grown up. One just earned his masters degree from UM, and the other one married and with a good job in Seatle WA. In 1977, I was transferred from Rochester, NY to the Orlando FL area. rything was moving to software control, I went back to college on a part time basis and finally earned a BSCS degree from UCF in 1987. Back in 2003 I was laid off from Siemens, which had taken over Stromberg-Carlson many years before. Now I have C# .NET engineering job with a small Lake Mary company. A better job than I had at Seimens. It's April and the Florida summer has started and won't be over until late October. During the long hot summers of Florida, I realize that Syracuse wasn't so bad after all.
