BS.in Education from Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia, Ks. 1965.
Masters in Safety Educ. from Central Missouri State University 1969.
Taught one year on Long Island, NY & one year in Chanute Ks. Returned to Kansas, got married, two boys. #One,Chuck is a Police officer(20) years in Shawnee, Ks. has two boys, Hunter 20 , Spencer 14 and one girl ,Amanda 7.
#2 son Michael is a Graduate of USMA West Point, degree in Airospace Eng. Left Army after 6 years as a Captain. Lives in Louisville, Ky .divorced, twin girls McKayla & Payten (7) & son Nicholas (5).
Remarried. Two step children Joe,works in his mothers business. Evelyn (Ebbi)is a MD for 10 years, first 7 as a Flight Surgeon & Major in the US Force. She is now the Anesthesiologist at the VA Hospital in Leavenworth, KS.
Divorced second time.

2 years in Shawnee Mission & Blue Valley Districts. Have taught Jr. High School, Jr. College & College & University level. Subjects; Driver & Traffic Safety, Health & Industrial Arts.
Coaching for 48 years. Have been Head Coach for Boys & Girls Track at Shawnee Mission Northwest also Head Boys & Girls Soccer at Northwest. 1990 Boys Soccer team won Kansas State Championship.
National level Track Official. Have officiated 39 National Track & Field Championships. Work the Kansas Relays every year[20]
Retired in 2002 but still coach the Javelin at Shawnee Mission East H.S.
Inducted into Emporia State University Athletic Hall of Honor (fall of 2008) as a member of the 1964 National Track & Field Championship Team.
I have decided that after coaching for 48 years that this will be my last season.
