Chuck's Story
After leaving directly for the Navy I spent over a decade in various positions as a cryptologist in the Navy primarily on aircrew duty off a variety of aircraft carriers.
For the better part of 15+ years I've been in the emergency vehicle industry with some friends and we sell fire trucks, rescue squads, specialty vehicles and ambulances.
Over the course of the years I refereed high school and college soccer for 25 years and continue to this day to umpire high school and college softball for fun.
My oldest son, Jacob, is in his residency year in graduate school with the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia and will become an ordained minister in the Lutheran Church after completion next spring of his final year of school. He will marry shortly thereafter to his college sweetheart who has her bachelors degree from the same undergraduate school he attended, Concordia College in Bronxville, NY just outside Manhattan. She will graduate this December from nursing school.
My youngest son, Justin, who will be 24 this year spent a short stint with the Marines after high school and then returned home to continue pursuing his education in...Expand for more
the field of emergency medical services. He recently finished his intermediate level training for his paramedic certification and continues to work on his hospital hours to complete course requirements for certification and testing. He currently works here in Baltimore for a private ambulance service working on the Johns Hopkins Transport Team.
Diane, my fiancee and partner for over 20 years now, works as an analytical chemist for a generic pharmaceutical company in research and development doing method development.
She and I live in Glen Burnie, Maryland where we have been for close to 15 years and both my sons live in the area also. We live between Washington D.C., Baltimore, Maryland and Annapolis. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio.
We have two pets, Ami (German Shepherd) and Tilly, a Plott Hound who somehow made it from a closed down hound rescue shelter in east Tennessee all the way to the Annapolis SPCA where we grabbed her. Ami came from the Mid Atlantic German Shepherd Rescue group where we both are members working on various fundraising and placement projects to find homes for shepherds and shepherd mixes.
