Life
High school sucked. The Bullies had my attention more than the teachers did. I consider it to be the biggest waste of time I ever went through. After holding 2 meanial jobs when shcool was over, and realizing that I was not college material, I joined the Army to get an education in electronics. They sent me to Fort Monmouth NJ for training in microwave radio repair. After training I spent 20 months in Viet Nam. I extended my tour of duty for 2 reasons. rmy I worked for a few small outfits repairing radios and tv's. Then Western Union came along and launched the first domestic communications satellite. They were looking for military trained people. There was no formal training in the satellite field at the time. Thus began a 30 year career in satellite communications which included participating in actual launches of some of the satellites. I am now semi retired and I do contract work for Sirius Satellite Radio. On the side I am refurbishing a 1985 Thomas Built Bus into a camper. I am also restoring an old 1949 Chevy tilt back farm truck.
