Charles's Story
Life
Well, after high school was NAU. Those were the best years of my life (even though I struggled to pay for school on my own and barely survived a virus that paralyzed my arms for a year). Studied elementary education and psychology and graduated. After college, I managed my foster family's various companies for a year and a half. I decided it was time to teach again, and I wanted to travel, so I moved to Tokyo, Japan. I work for a school owned by Japan Airlines where I teach mostly children's classes, but...Expand for more
also business and conversation English classes. While in Japan, I have taught myself Japanese, read tons of books including War and Peace, written a textbook for Japanese high school students who want to be foreign exchange students in the U.S., travelled a lot, and have been in a beer commercial that was on TV here. Oh, I have also climbed Mt. Fuji and ran a full marathon. I am still here and have no plans at this time for going back. I got married August of last year in Tokyo, Japan at a nice little church.
