Charles's Story
Life
Graduation day was a hard day to beat. Immediately after, I was at Parris Island as a recruit. Then to Memphis TN for school, back home a year later on leave, got married to Judy Butler SHS Junior at the time), went to MCAS Beaufort for four years, then to Japan, Vietnam and other lovely locales. Spent 23 years as a Marine (something WN Grant and I had swore we would do together but did not), retired, worked in Washington DC for 15 years then the area called me back. he grands, lives in Memphis, my daughter lives here in Beaufort with my youngest grandson and two granddaughters, and my youngest son is an officer in the Marine Corps. He works in DC, got married two years ago and has recently retired from the Marine Corps as a LT. Col.. Have been married to the same wonderful woman since August of 1963. Have had an excellent life to this point and hope to enjoy the rest of it as much as I have this first part. Would like to enjoy it even more by remaking old friendships and becoming friends with old enemies. Contact would be most welcomed.
