Charles's Story
To all veterans, I thank you for your service!!
I have spent a lifetime seeking adventure. In 1965 I enlisted in the US Army and deployed to Viet Nam during the 1968 Tet Offensive. Upon my return from Viet Nam, I began roadracing motorcycles and won a Pacific Coast Championship in 1969.
I made a dozen parachute jumps while in the Army, and began skydiving seriously afterwards. I was a member of the team that won the U.S. National Skydiving Championships in 1972, represented the USA at the 1972 World Championships, and also participated in numerous world record skydives. After years of skydiving competition, I instructed for ten years at the skydiving centers at Lake Elsinore and Perris. I have made over 3000 skydives... one of the highlights of which was a b...Expand for more
ase jump off of El Capitan, a 3000 foot cliff in Yosemite National Park.
I got back into riding motorcycles in 1998, have had many new bikes, and ridden many miles since then. One of the bikes is my race bike, that I take to the track frequently. The others are my BMWs that I use for sport touring. I have been touring all over the Western USA since 2003, thoroughly enjoying exploring our beautiful country by motorcycle.
In 2009, I retired from a successful career as a general contractor, I'm divorced, and blessed with a wonderful son, daughter-in-law, two beautiful grandchildren, and many wonderful friends. After having lived most of my life in California, I relocated to Show Low, Arizona in August 2018, but visit California frequently to be with loved ones.
