Charlotte's Story
Life
I married Gibson Miller in 1967.(Never changed my name.) Gibson and I have lived in Iota all of our lives. We have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren ages 16,9,5 the boys, and granddaughter is 8. I work for the state of Louisiana as an Associate Administrator at Southwest Louisian Developmental Center. I am the Director of Residental Services. I began college in 1985 (35 yr. old student)and graduated with a degree in Human Resources. I have been at Southwest for 22 years. I love my job and could not think of doing anything else. I am not ready to retire.
I enjoy computer technology, almost any kind of craft hobby and I love animals. I have a parrot, cockatiels,paraketts,cat, dog and numerous fish.

d enjoy doing arts and crafts, making jewlery, floral arrangements, painting, and developing craft kits for children. I am writing a book in regards to teaching children to use their imagination to develop creativity to enhance problem solving skills that can lead to knowledge.
I have 4 grandsons, 21, 15, 9 and 2 years old and a 12 year old granddaughter.
Gibson, my husband and I have been married for 41 years and Gibson is principal of Iota High School.
My youngest daughter Tonya is school counselor at Iota Elementary School.
We also own and run LA Maison Pointe aux Loup B ed and Breakfast located on Hwy. 91, north of Iota.
I still enjoy working with people with developmental disabilities and have some come to my gift shop every week to work on creative art ideas.
I love animals and have two dogs, two parrots and two cats.
