Ched's Story
Life
After high-school, I tried Northeastern but got bored real quick. Kent Roundtree and I went to Wyoming and tried our hand in the oilfield for a while. Beautiful country and great money for a 19 yr old at the time. Bottom fell out of the economy (sounds familiar?) and I joined the Air Force. Spent most of my time in Europe and the Mid-East and finished up in California.
Along the way, I met a great lady and we were married and had two beautiful children. Unfortunately we have gone our separate ways recently but I wish her the best. We have been blessed with 7 grandkids. I have since remarried to a wonderful woman whom I am very blessed to have tolerate me!
After the military, I went back to school and began working in the computer & data communications field. After a 30+yr career, I took an early retirement option. My wife and I are living in SE Ohio where we are taking care of her parents.

10 years ago. My Mom and my sister and her family still live there. I missed the 40th reunion and really regret it. I hope that we will have another one soon as I would love to see some of my classmates.
Military
I had no idea what I was getting into when I joined the Air Force, but I so glad that I did. It really took some time, but it really helped me grow up. For those of you served with me at Crooked Creek I say this, B Flight was the greatest group of people that I have ever known, and I truly wish that I had done more to get to know each and every one of you better. I also wish that I had done more to keep in touch. You were a great bunch of people. My time overseas showed me what the Air Force really was. Although I enjoyed my time at Edwards AFB, it was an "8 to 5" job in uniform compared to an overseas assignment. I knew that the first time there was a recall and I showed up in fatigues with alert bag in hand and everyone else was in blues......
