Cheri''s Story
Life
After graduating from Iowa Central Community College, with a degree in Dental Assisting, I began working for a dentist in Carroll, Iowa where I stayed until January of 2005. He retired and so, so did I. I have recently gone back to school. I got married in July of 1994. Had a little girl in 1996, and another girl in 1998. I live in Glidden, Iowa and we built a new house in 2004. My parents and both my sisters live in the area also. I have graduated for DMACC with a AAS degree in Medical Administrative Assistant. I was employed with a Podiatrist for 4 years. He then retired and I retired a second time. I started working at New Hope Village (physically and mentally impaired adults) at a Glidden Home, in 2013 to 2016. I started working at Glidden Grocery 2017 to present.

I moved around a bit for school life. I started in San Pedro, California at Leland Street school in kindergarten 1966-68.
I then moved to Soldotna, Alaska for 2nd-4th grade (69-71). I remember having twin girls in my class. There were trailers for some of the classrooms. Two of my best friends were Lisa Fletcher and Kim Jones. I lived in a trailer court on the river.
I moved back to California for 3 more years (72-74). Went back to Leland Street for 2 years and then went to Trinity Lutheran School for 1 year. In Leland I had a friend named Patty Torres (with whom I am still friends with) I also went to school with Jim Vinsel and David Rubottom? I also lived near all three of them.
I moved to Glidden, Iowa in 1975 and have stayed here ever since. I graduated in 1979.
