Cheri's Story

Life I left California in Febrary of 1990, met a guy, lived with him for about 5 years, while working at odd jobs here and there and learning photography. We split in 95 and I went a little nuts (go figure). I reunited with him in late 96, married him in 98, seperated in 99 and divorced in 2000. I tried to leave Alaska once and lived in Seattle for about 6 months during my seperation from my husband. My sister had just had a baby, so I took care of him and did nothing else. (Very Theraputic!) I eventually decided it was time to get back to life and I came home to Alaska. I am currently living downtown with a wonderful man. I have a great job as a project administrator with an architecture firm and I'm ...Expand for more
pretty stinkin' happy! (Again, Go Figure!) College When I say I went to college, what I really mean is... I spent 50 to 60 hours a week in the dark room! I started out with a full load of art classes and within three week, dropped them all except photography. I'd always wanted to be able to create art and when I found photography, I knew it was my niche. I am currently not shooting and it has been four or more years since I have. I don't have much of my old work either because I gave up all possessions about 2 years ago as a way of cleansing myself (third or fourth time I've tried it). Some day I will pick up the camera again. I work only in B&W and my favorite aspect of photography is printing.
