Life Though I had been an LPN for over 23 years, I returned to school when I was 49 years old! . In February 2011 I passed the state board exam and now carry the "prestigious" title of RN. Update: May 2020 --- still working! I have been at the same hospital for 32 years! My Pets Keeping my grandson's turtle "Rock 'n' Roll." (Named by a 4 year old!) until I can return him to the original owner. Someday that turtle will find his way to California! Update: turtle died. :( Accidental drowning, got his head caught in a rock. Inadvertently acquired a dog, "Charlie" about a year ago. Small, feisty and noisy! Charlie is now 11 years old, much more mellow, and has Cushing's Disease. My Kids There are 6 altogether, and they have made me a grandmother 19 times over. The oldest is Petra, she works as a hair stylist and has one 23 year old son who got married last August. . Tom has 3 biological children, and one adopted. He lives in Tampa with his wife and 3 kids. The adopted one recently got married and has little contact with us.
