Chery's Story
Hey, everyone!
I cannot believe we are 30 years post graduation. I know my life has been a blur in many ways, but it has always been interesting. We have moved a lot , so we have gotten to meet and make friends in several places. That is the positive side to moving.
I continue to sing and I taught private voice for 22 years unitl 2 1/2 years ago . When we moved back to Lee's Summit, I began working for the Raytown School District. My schedule no longer allowed me to teach privately after school. I taught school in Hickman Mills through the end of 1997(for 14 years) when we moved away to Maryville, MO. In the summer of 2002 we moved to Neosho, MO for 3 1/2 years. There I applied for and trained to become a Parent Educator for the Neosho Schools. I received certificat...Expand for more
ion to do home visits with children (birth - 5 yrs. old) and their parents. Upon moving back to the KC area I applied for a Parent Educator position in Raytown. I have been there for the past 3 yrs. I am open to trying something new in education as well.
I met my husband, Brent , when we both auditioned for and became members of the KC Symphony Chorus. We have one beautiful, talented daughter named Hannah. She is 12 years old and will begin 7th grade in Lee's Summit this August. Brent and I have been married for 13 1/2 years.
I think of our class often and wonder why it has been so hard to get us together!!! I am glad we are about to see one another again. There are many memories of so many of you!!!
Hope everyone is healthy and content,
Chery Evans(Trayford)
