Cheryl's Story
Since graduating and leaving Roberts Wesleyan College, I married happily in 1972, was a stay-at-home mom, raised 2 wonderful sons with my husband, and taught elementary-aged children in a small Christian school which I helped to start in 1997. Our family has lived in eastern Ontario, but currently my husband and I reside in central Ontario, Canada.
I am currently working at home, doing my husband's secretarial work, mainly correspondence, for the church where he is the minister.
Our oldest son, daughter-in-law and grandsons live in Rochester, NY, where he is employed doing web programming for a local college. Our other son recently married, and is changing careers. He is planning to be a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine, graduating from his course in Mar., 2013. Both sons and daughter-in-laws have earned their B.Sc. degrees, with honors, from Roberts Wesleyan College.

My husband and I became 1st time grandparents in 2008, and 2nd time grandparents in 2010. We treasure each time we can visit with our grandsons and their parents. We also look forward to visiting with our younger son and his beautiful wife. Both families live in Rochester, NY.
One interesting and rather unusual story: June Mathias and I were in the same Class of '68 at Clarence High. In the years since, we've been different places, doing our things, and I eventually ended up in Muskoka, ON, Canada. However, there was a couple here who were trying to make connections with June. I'd just seen a hometown newspaper article about her, so I knew where she was. I felt then, and still do think, that God moved us around so we would be in the right places at the right time to put June and this other couple in touch with each other for their work in Burkino Faso, W. Africa! Awesome!
