Cheryl's Story
We moved back to Beaver in 2006 from Florida (no place for the menopausal woman -- imagine a year of feeling like spontaneously combusting) to get my daughters reasonable educations and to feel more at home. I worked for several years as an RN at The Villa St. Joseph, a skilled nursing facility, and then for approximately 5 years as a staff RN at Heritage Valley Hospital Beaver (The Medical Center)...Expand for more
in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. I loved the job, but have lifted my last patient as of October of 2014 when a back injury led to two spinal surgeries. I'm fine now (about an inch shorter) but seriously looking at retirement if I can't find anything interesting enough to get back into the job market. I'm just enjoying being with my family and friends and feeling very grateful for life so far.
