Cheryl's Story
Life
After graduating from college, I moved to Albany to attend law school and to work as a student law clerk for the New York State Attorney General. I met my husband, Thom, on New Year's Eve after being in Albany for just a few months. I transferred to the UB School of Law and we lived in Buffalo for a few years. I studied in Europe at the Institute for World Legal Problems with a United States Supreme Court Justice and did some traveling (Italy, Austria, Germany, Hungary.) I continued working for the New York State Attorney General while in law school. After receiving my Juris Doctor, I worked for the New York State Assembly and taught at a private college in Buffalo where I started to chip away at a doctorate in Health Policy. I were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Mariana Ruby, in September 2005. The time our daughter has been with us has been the happiest and most fulfilling of my life! We recently moved to New England and live north of Boston on the NH Seacoast (a beautiful place to call home!) Thom spent most of his childhood here as an Air Force brat and then(as fate would have it) he ventured into New York politics for a few years after college...
Today we are settling into our new home and loving every second of watching Mariana grow up. Thom is President of an area business advocacy organization and I am a busy attorney (and, of course, a VERY busy mom!) There is nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my husband and little girl.
And there you have it. Life has been very, very good.
