Cheryl's Story
Life
I have been living in Virginia for 35 years. Although I received a bachelor's degree in Music from Boston University and a master's in music from the University of Illinois and have taught music for several years, I am now teaching Latin in a middle school in Lexington, Virginia where my husband teaches at Washington and Lee University. one child, Shawn, a graduate of Bowdoin College, who also holds graduate degrees in Latin and Education from Ohio State. She also has taught Latin at a high school in Newark, Ohio for six years. She is presently married to a rocket scientist, Carsten Scharlemann ,who received his Ph.D. from Ohio State. They live in Vienna, Austria where he is employed as by ARC Seibersdorf Research as the senior scientist in Space Propulsion.
