Cheryl's Story
Life
After leaving Carter, I went to UT Arlington for a year before transferring to Texas A&M. I graduated in 1978 with a BS in Microbiology. I then did a PhD at A&M and completed my postdoc at UT Health Science center in Dallas. I married for a brief time and decided it was was time for a change so I moved with my boss and his lab to Michigan. I hated it there and had no options so I changed careers and went to law school. I graduated from George Washington in 1997 and worked in DC for 5 year...Expand for more
s before returning to Texas. I work for a Biotech company in Houston as their in-house patent counsel and love every minute of it. I enjoy being back in Texas after being gone for over 10 years.
School
I went to Texas A&M and majored in Microbiology with a minor in chemistry. I graduated in 1978. I then did a PhD in molecular biology graduating in 1983. After, spending time in research I went back to school and graduated with a law degree from George Washington Univ School of Law in 1997.
