Cheryl's Story

Life I have been married to my husband, Ken, since June 1985. He is an instructor for Caterpillar on electrical power generation, and he teaches dealership technicians on this. He also retired from the National Guard in February 2002 after 21 years in the service. We have lived in the Peoria, IL area since March 1990. Ken and I built a house in Groveland, Illinois, and moved into it in May 2006. We love it! I decided to go to college for Therapeutic Massage in January 2007 at our junior college, as I didn't go to college right after high school. I graduated in December 2008, and took the exam and received my license in this field. I am currently working at a chiropractor's office three days a week, and for myself two or three days a week at a different location. I love being able to help people with their pain, stress, etc!! We have two children, Alyssa, 25 and Brandon, 22. Alyssa grad...Expand for more
uated Spring 2009 with a Bachelors in Education. She is an English major, and wants to teach high school English. She currently is in the country of Albania as a missionary. She is teaching for two English speaking families, one from the United States and the other from England. Her commitment over there is until the end of May 2012. Brandon graduated in May 2007 from Morton High School. He enlisted in the Navy in November 2007, and graduated from the Nuclear Engineering program in August 2009. He married his wife, Sareh, the weekend after he graduated. Brandon was asked to become an instructor at the Nuclear Engineering school for two years. His time there is almost up, and we are waiting to see where he goes next. We have a Brittany Spaniel named Champ that is 14 1/2 years old. I would love to hear from my classmates!!
