Chip's Story
YAfter High School and after I turned 21, I attended the University of Arkansas (Psychology). Then, I joined the Army. I was kicked out on a medical discharge (I blew a knee). Then, thru the VA, I picked up another degree, BBA at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Next, I was hired by the Army and I picked up a MBA in Logistics. Since then, I have been living in Decatur, AL where I work as an Acquisition Logistician for the Counter, Rockets, Artillery and Mortars Project office. I have been working for the Department of Defense for 34 years.
My Wife too works for the Department of Defense but she is a system analyst. Due to severe back problems my Doctors took my Gold Wing Away. So now my favorite toy is a Pontiac Solstice GXP. I took the GXP to GM and had the turbo tweaked out so it would produce 300 horsepower. I personally have had it to 160 mph but I know that it will do much more. It also will go thru the quarter mile in the high 12seconds. Pretty fast for a 4 cylinder. I also have a 2012 maxed out FJ Cruiser to get me around up in the Ozarks. I looked at the 2014 Camaro 2SSRS and fell in love. Dealer offered me such a great deal, I could not turn it down. So, I no longer have the Pontiac. I traded it for a bright yellow with black stripe 2014 Camaro 2SSRS. It has everythi...Expand for more
ng you can get in a Camaro. It had a 6.2Liter V8 with 426 hp. Will run the qtr mile in 12 seconds. Handling is unbelievable. It is my favorite car that I have ever owned. I upgraded the floor mats to include a big yellow "SS" on each one. I also added the "SS" emblems on each side of the car right beneath the "Camaro" emblem .
I have a step son, Chris Grissom, a watch dog (3.3lb Yorky named Bo) and a Maine Coon Cat named Sox.
My passions in life are collecting pocket knives, small arms and target shooting, collecting antique toys and lunch boxes, pocket watches, expensive wrist watches and I am an Avid reader. I read about 3 books a week. My expertise is the War between the States, Jesse James, Bloody Bill Anderson and all the other redlegs and bushwackers.
Been suffering with some health problems. One is severe back pain (facet joint problems, lumbar stenosis, and sacroiliac joint dysfunction. Eat high powered prescription pain pills like candy). Have frequent facet and sacroiliac joint injections at the Pain Clinic.
Two, I also suffer with Chronic Inflammatory demyelinating peripheral neuropathy ( CIDP). Going to the Vanderbilt Medical Center and have a series of intravenous immuglobulin infusions (one each for five days) under the supervision of Dr. Jun Li. I have really high hopes.
