Chris's Story
School
I attended several schools in north Georgia as a little kid, then in the 8th grade, my dad's job moved us to Kansas. At first, I really hated it. Few forests, no mountains, no trout streams, no extended family...but as I got to know more folks at school, things got better. High school came and went really fast. I guess it does when you are enjoying things....or as much enjoyment as you can devise in a small community like Gardner.
College
I did the Community College thing for two years...first year on a free-ride scholarship, which helped. Then on to the University of Kansas. It was really a lot of fun, along with some hard work. I was there for four more years before eventually deciding that I just couldn't make ends meet and stay a professional stud...Expand for more
ent....although I think I could have been happy trying. I met a ton of really fun folks while living at Oliver dorm for one year, plus a ton of others from my part time job while in school. KU and Lawrence is definitely a party town. Between the parties and the bars, I don't really know how I made it...but that is just part of having fun as a young adult, I suppose.
Workplace
I am the Energy Manager for Bibb County Public Schools. I manage several million dollars of funds for the various utilities that keep the 45 schools in our system running. With such a large district (Macon, Georgia), it keeps me very busy. I also operate the energy management computer system that operates the heating and cooling, burglar alarms, and outside lighting at most of the schools.
