Chris's Story
Life
Strange how much I've changed. At Westmoor I was barely a C- student, desiring primarily to excel in wrestling. I was still offered a few scholarships, which were all thwarted one after another by my evil councelor "Mr. Polillo." On a low budget of Cal-grants, I went to San Francisco State University where I could wrestle and where I applied myself to an education--very much to my surprise. There at SFSU, I earned a B.A. in Journalism, next an M.A. in English Listerature, and finally a won a full MFA tuition fellowship at the Univers...Expand for more
ity of Alabama, where I also taught literature and Creative Writing courses. At U. of A., I earned two Master of Fine Arts degrees, one in Creative Writing and the other in Book Arts, thereby totalling 3 advanced post-graduate degrees.
Since school, I have remained a full time writer with stories and poems published here and there, some in the magazines you have been reading. Alas, art and literature can only pay so much; I now work as a Technical Writer and Web Designer at a bank. But, I still find some time to do some of my own work.
