Chris's Story

I always wanted to be a Locomotive Engineer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a silly idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. To relax, I love listening to Big Band, Jazz, Classical and Bluegrass music either live or through my audio system. I love teaching the Bible, especially to those that are eager to grow and learn. Studying the Word of God is absolutely the most fulfilling thing that I do. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Glenn Engel, because he showed me how to become a Christian through trusting the Lord Jesus Christ. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the back porch and add on a sun room. My dream home would be located in Iowa. the rest on my kids and my beautiful wife. Since I was 7 years old, I had always wanted to be a locomotive engineer. I have achieved that goal, and work an average of 60 to 70 hours per week. I love the job in spite of the long hours, and couldn't imagine NOT doing it. I work out of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and handle trains to Chicago, Illinois. I love playing in the Oshkosh (WI) Area Community Band. I play trombone and electric, and string bass. I'm certainly no pro, but it is fulfilling and fun to do! I am active with the Glenn Miller Birthplace Society in Clarinda, Iowa and do photography and videography for their publication. I also play trombone in the GMBS big band. We do a reenacted Chesterfield Radio Show broadcast every year that is a lot of fun.
