Chris's Story

Hey all, Well, I left HS and banged around for a few months and finally ended up in Yosemite National Park working for about 6 months. It was fanatastic. Once you get that in your blood it's hard to get out. After that I came back to LA, met a girl who went to AFI in Beverly Hills and wound up there for two years. After the AFI experience (many bars, many MANY women), I started working in low budget films. That was very cool. Then I moved up to rock videos (this was in '82). I married a New Zealand model in '83, and that, tragically was a huge mistake. So, a few films later, a few TV shows later, I ended up in the Valley. I met another girl after the divorce from the model and we moved in together. After about a year, I ended up in North Carolina to make another film. North Carolina was - and I'm sure...Expand for more
it still is - gorgeous, and I wanted to stay there. So I did. That's where I met my current wife, Cheryl. I left the films, ended up as a TV executive producer in Raleigh NC, and Cheryl and I raised two kids - Nick and Zack. I left the TV business when I had an idea for a dot com, opened that, ended up selling it before the bubble burst in 2000, and then after hanging around the house, I decided to pursue what I always wanted to do: teach. Now we're in Boston (but soon to return to NC). Life is good. 3 dogs, 2 cats, 21 years of marriage. We travel a lot. I came back from China 10 months ago. I also became a photographer and sell my work. I'm in flickr.com, although the good stuff I don't put out in public forums. Check it out. Hope this helps a bit.
