Within three months of graduating from high school, I started my five years at Arizona State University. Initially I was a business major, changed my major to broadcast journalism my junior year, and still managed to graduate within five years with my Bachelor's Degree. Even before graduating from college, I secured two jobs in Phoenix radio; the very first at the now-defunct KRDS AM/FM Christian radio, then at KOOL-AM/FM. It was a lot of fun working in satellite radio, and a learning experience, too. Some mighty interesting characters call in during those overnight hours. Downsizing at KOOL led to starting my first business, Grasso Direct. This was a crossword puzzle publishing business that I ran from my one-bedroom apartment in Glendale, and I did that for just over 2 and a half years. Unpredictable income led me back into the corporate world, and I worked my way up the ladder at AIG for six years. After hitting that proverbial glass ceiling, the summer of 2002 proved to be a pivotal time as I became crystal clear on the type of business I wanted to run until I retire, or even a little bit beyond.
