Chris's Story
I started college at SUI/Carbondale, but switched to Illinois College after a year. I got my degree in Physics and Mathematics in 1977. After staying out a semester I started grad school in Computer Scinece at the University of Illinois. Completed master's degree and worked at IBM/Austin for a couple years, then came back to Champaign to start on a PhD (which I never completed.)

c vectorizing and concurrentizing pre-processor for Fortran and C. At Intel I've worked in various capacities, currently in Threading Runtimes on Threading Building Blocks.
I am married to Peggy (my second wife.) We enjoy ballroom dancing, scuba diving and travel. I have been practicing aikido for twelve years, and recently received my black belt.
We have a Bichon Frise named Janie, and two snakes (Tiger & Leopard). We hatched ten snakes, and kept one (Quasimodo).
