Chris's Story
Hello all,
Been nearly 20 years, my has time flown. I figured I'd at least post a profile here to keep up on the where and when and if of our 20 year reunion. I know I'm a little early, but I'll be out of country for several months (between 7 and 8) deployed overseas for my last Naval deployment. I say my last because along with the possibility of our 20 year class reunion, I'll also be retiring from the Navy after 20 years next June/July/August....we just haven't decided which month yet.
Enough of the future, the last 20 years have been interesting to say the least, I'm married to a wonderful woman named Denise, she is a Registered Nurse working at a medium sized hospital in Portsmouth, Va. She's a floor nurse working in the Emergency Department Admissions Unit, and really enjoys her job. I have two daughters, a 15 year old Step-Daughter named Bryana, I have raised her since she was 4 1/2, and a 9 year old named Emmalynn. They are both awesome kids and each have their own unique personalities. They both...Expand for more
love anime, computers, and of course video games....but not too many kids don't these days. We have several fish, both marine and fresh water, and Deni's pride and joy, Bodie, our 1 1/2 year old English bull-dog. Bodie is quite the character, and has become an integral part of our family.
As for me, like I said, I've been in the Navy almost 20 years now, I'm stationed in Norfolk, Va right now, on the USS Theodore Roosevelt, a Nimitz class aircraft carrier. I've been out here a little over 2 years, and although it's nicer being near my family in Florida, I really do like San Diego better. I was stationed out there for12 years, where I spent time on 2 different carriers, and a few years on shore duty in between. This will be my 6th deployment, and I'm looking forward to it since I've only done Western Pacific deployments before this, and never a Med cruise....so we'll see.
