Chris's Story
College
I had started college in the fall of 96 at Cosumnes River College a 2-year college. When they said that you could go to a junior college for two years & then transfer to a 4-year college they were wrong it takes longer than two years to do it. I had changed my major a few times since starting college; I had started out with just general Ed then to computers & final general science. To do this it took me from fall of 96 to spring of 04 when I graduated with an AS in General Science. I did not go on to a 4-year college but I may do it in the future, but for right now I am fine with this.
Workplace
I have had 4 jobs during & since I left hig...Expand for more
h school. My first one was working for my grandfather in his ice machine repair business; this job lasted for about 4 summers. The second job was working for the California Dept of Food & Ag as a student assistant; it lasted about 5 months till budget cuts. My third job I tried my hand at making boxes for pairs at a pair farm on the outskirts of Courtland; it was only for one season though (TOO HOT). My fourth & current job is working for the California Employment Development Dept.; in this job I started out as a student assistant & worked my way up the ladder to be a full time permanent employee. I have been at this job for about 6 years & counting.
