Chris's Story
Life
Originally from southwest Michigan I moved to Southeast Missouri in 1982. I have lived in and around this area now for most of the last twenty years. I attended the eighth grade at Sunrise R-9 school in rural Desoto then transferred to North Saint Francios County High School in Desloge for my freshman, sophmore and junior years. I finished high school at Perryville public high school after which I attened vocational school there for 1 year. For the last 18 years I have been employed by Drury restaraunts as a manger for Burger King. While with the BK division I have worked in South East Mo., Northern Arkansas and Western Kentucky. I met the love of my life in 1991 and was married in 1994 in Kelso Mo, not far from where we now live in Scott City. We have been blessed with one daughter so far ( Alyssa ). same store on Broadway in Cape Girardeau so far, this is the longest time in my entire life that I have spent in one place. I am an active member of Knights of Columbus council 6420 in Kelso and a Member of St Augustines Catholic Church in Kelso. My family and I live in her famillies homeplace and my daughter is the fith generation on my wifes side to live in this house. I still enjoy music as much as I did in school and occaisionaly toy with the concept of putting together a band from time to time. My main hobby now is woodworking which I enjoy immensly and I try to spend as much time as possible out in the shop and on household projects. I build a lot of casework pieces, primarily hope chests and dressers and small tables. I enjoy working with my hands and in the relative solitude of my shop after spending ten hours plus a day at the restaraunt.
