Charles's Story

Life From 2001 - 2003, having previously been activated on 911 for the Global War On Terrorism, I had completed my tour of service with the Army National Guard on long term active duty assignment with the 29th Military Police Company, subsequently assigned with Force Protection/Homeland Security. The war itself, of course continues on to this day despite whatever varied support or opinions may float from Capital Hill down to persons like you and I. For the record, however, I am still very much on the side of the U.S. Constitution and that of my military brothers and sisters who are still in harms way and need your support more then ever. I've come to find out that even some of our own Alumni are still there and especially need your attentive love and support as well. Anyway, before and after this time in my life had ever occurred, I had also been through various civilian job positions, educational opportunities, and many good- and not so good life experiences. I have now completed my tour's of duty and other assignments and 15 / 22 years of total uniformed service with both the National Guard and Reserve forces of the Army and Air Force. At the present time, I continue my devotion to duty and same traditional uniformed service to my nation in it's time of crisis with the Voluntary force component of the U.S. Air Force Aux./ Civil Air Patrol. My duty positions with CAP is Mission Observer / Co-Pilot and Navigator while performing airborne Homeland Security and many diverse Emergency Services related missions. All in all, from my wonderful and exciting years as a CAP/USAF Aux. / USAF ROTC Cadet (1985 - 1991), and as a 911 GWOT war veteran of 15 years Reserve/Guard time combined with my current duty obligation status, My record now stands at 22 years wearing and serving in the uniform of my country. "Pretty amazing, Huh??!" Yes indeed, time still flies very fast folks!! My ground-...Expand for more
based duty assignment, however is Professional Development Officer with Bowie Composite Squadron in Bowie MD while presently holding the officer rank of Captain (O-3) with promotion to Major(O-4) to come very soon. "Look me up and come visit sometime on Thursday Eve's between 7pm - 9:30pm!" I'm usually there around that timeframe. Ever since 911, from the very first day to the present, I have been heavily engaged in many responsibilities and have continued going through alot of intensive training and education with my fellow comrade's. I have also been trying to keep up with daily personal issues and job related matters as well. So, you can pretty well see how busy, sometimes crazy life has been lately. Before all this started,I was still concentrated on the goals of adding additional experience and tech training in my chosen professional trades which had served me well previously; insofar, such experience continually empowers' specific areas of my professional life in different ways even today. Juggling 2 jobs and personality profiles - in a manner of speaking, ;) wasnt easy before and certainly hasen't become any easier now! :) Any way, if any of my Alumni brothers and sisters want to know anymore details,"you guys have to send me some Email!!!"... PLEASE WRITE BACK !! it's been TOOO Long already and I miss all of you quite terribly!! Hope to hear from you soon! P.S. I'll continue my attempts to keep all of you updated as things go along. To those of you who already visited my profile and sent me some messages in one form or another, PLEASE keep it up !, I need very much to here from you. Afterall, this world in which we now exist has become an extremely cold and polarized environment and is not getting any better. I could stand to here from- perhaps even attempt to physically reunite with alot of my old friends and other comrades more then ever. "Take care and God speed!"
