Life
(First off, don't bother to sign my guestbook as I'm not a member and I can't see who you are... you can email me at responsepower at hot mail dot comm (spelled correctly of course) instead)
A Life Bio? Holy smokes, a lot happens in 25 years - so will only recap the first 20 quickly...
Graduated, went to U of A and finished a B.Sc. (Mech. Eng.), went to Europe/Great Britain for 8 months for work (travelling on someone else's money is great!), came back and started work for EPCOR at Genesee, there for 3 years then back downtown w/EPCOR for another 3... got married in 1989, changed jobs from a technical focus to a customer focus, started and finished an MBA part-time at U of A...
During this time had three kids, Andrew (16), Cameron (12), and Emily (9)...
The MBA got this entrepreneurial bug going in me, left EPCOR in 1999 and started my own company, Solution 105 Consulting Ltd., doing utility management for large energy users (mostly office buildings, hospitals, and school boards) - check out our web...Expand for more
site - as well as starting another firm w/my bud from Ardrossan, Pat McGinnis. Now S105 has 9 people and has won recent industry awards for some cool software tools we developed. I've even won Edmonton's Small Business Owner of the Year and been a finalist for Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year! All good...
Of course, business issues and focus conflict w/personal ones, and eventually this contributed to (but was certainly not the only reason for) a divorce, finalized a few years ago...
... so once again, life as a single. Exciting, and sometimes scary...
But, the kids are doing great - and that was our focus, making sure they were OK through it all - and they certainly are, so that's all good.
What's in store? Wow, who knows... eventually find and develop another relationship, make changes to our company, and whatever else life brings.
