What to say.
After 8 yrs in Trenton, attending Breadner Junior & Senior Public Schools, moved to Moose Jaw, Sask. in 79 where I finished elementary school at Bushell Park. Stayed on the base until Gr 11 when the rest of the family moved; said bye, bye & moved into town to live with my brother, finish high school at Riverview while working at Canex snack bar. Nothing to exciting there beyond the smoke induced haze, but met some interesting people, some of whom I'd love to get back in contact with.
Took a yr off after that to decide what it was I wanted to do & then went to live with my Gram & returned to McMaster University for 5 yrs. Graduated in 90 with degrees in Soc & Social Work. Loved the learning but school is a hassel & haven't gone back since. Worked as a social worker in a hospital for a bit then left to live, work, tour around in Aust., N.Z. Fiji & the U.S. for a very interesting yr of great sites & good people.
Caught the travel bug & went back to Aust in '96 for another extended tour. Love nothing more than to ...Expand for more
pack up & get on a plane so have travelled extensively to many places, mostly in the Carribean & South America. As long as there is sun, sand, good food & great people I'm up for it.
While in Aust the first time I worked in an AIDS education program. Over the yrs I have worked with Children's Aid, Probation & Parole, hospital and for the last 25 in community health services, specializing in working with people with acquired brain & spinal cord injuries.
Don't have much, if any, contact with my family other than the occassional phone call. However that is how I prefer it.
Have been in a non traditional:) relationship for many yrs now & live in a house with my partner. Have a fairly close group of friends & get together frequently for dinner, drinks & lately poker. Pretty boring life by some standards but I'm content & seeing as how I tasted the alternatives am satisfied. I've gotten what I want, have the abillity & am in the position to pursue my whims whatever they may be.
No kids, although the thought is there at times. No pets unless you count the fish in the pond.
