Christopher's Story
Life
What have I done since graduation? Well, let's see. Moved to Tulsa in '87 and went to school for six months. Quit, moved to Pittsburg KS and went to school for another six months. Quit, screwed off for another year, got married to my first wife, joined the Air Force. Since then ('89) I've been to Washington, Hawaii, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, South Korea, California, Iraq, Kosovo, Italy and now Los Angeles. Had my son in '97 and got divorced 4 months later. Fell in love with my second wife Brandie and remarried in '99. Our daughter Lauren was born in '02 and our second daughter Emily was born in May '05. As of Jun 2013 I'm retired from the Air Force and livin' it up in California.
School
I loved school except for the first year of Will Rogers Jr High, that year sucked. I think the absolute best memory I have was the Miami High talent show in '85(?) where some of the guys got all dressed up, g...Expand for more
ot ready to sing, and then sang the "meow meow" song.
College
College for me was six months of Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa and then six months of Pittsburg State University. I then decided school was not for me and joined the Air Force. I got smart and used my GI Bill to get a AAS Degree in Electrical Maintenance and also worked on an AAS Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Military
I joined the Air Force on my 20th birthday as a Heating Systems Apprentice. Worked in the boiler plant at Fairchild AFB for three years doing that. After three years of that I had to crosstrain due to an overage of people in my career field. I'm now a computer geek (sort of) for AF civil engineering and have been since '92. Got my 20 yrs in as of May 2009, woohoo!!! Now I'm the Superintendent of the 61st Civil Engineer and Logistics Squadron at Los Angeles Air Force Base. Wait a sec, how the hell did I get here?! Update: I'm retired now, woohoo!!!
