Chris's Story

Life Born in Paris, France. My mother was from Tours, France. I just found recently that my father, was not my birth father, but my father, who I have known for my entire life, will always will be my father. But I am curious who my birth father was. SInce my mother and father have both past away in 1998, it has been in my mind to find out who he was. I know my father who help me get some medicine when I was really sick, was station at Chinon and my mother was a secretary. She was a beautiful woman. So I think my mother had a relationship with an officer, cause when we in Leesville, I was told he came and wanted to us both, but my mother was not going to leave her husband. Didn't graduate Leesville High, but lived in the area for 8 years while my dad did his 2 tours in Vietnam. I left in Spring 1971 and went to Germany where I graduated ZHS in 1973 and stayed another year at ZweiHigh just hanging out. Join the Army in Mar 75 and stayed for 24 years finally retiring in Mar 99. I was stationed at Wiesbaden from 86-92 and visit ZweiHigh a few times. Last visit was in April 2000 with my 15 year old son. Showing him the place his old man lived at the same age he was. Living in San Antonio now. Have been doing contract work for the Gov't for the past 4 years and did a 6 month stay in Hawaii before returning back to San Antonio working as a Gov't employee on Ft Sam Houston. Since coming back to San Antonio in 2002, I have been able to visit Ft Polk and took the opportunity to stop by Pickering Elementary, High School and stop by and visited the Leesville High School. Went downtown to visit the old places that I rememb...Expand for more
er. I like what they did with the old movie place. Nothing had really changed except new paint and new roads. I am going back again in April 2005 for another visit. I am hoping to reconnect to that part of my life as well. Want to help find people to lost contact with their High School Clasmates. I have more pleasure seeing people's expression for the first time when they see someone after 30 years. So email me. College Never really went to one college long enough to earn a degree from it. I am currently going to San Antonio College with hopes of going to UTSA for my BA. The one college that I really enjoyed while stationed there was Panama Canal College. They had some of most beautiful women there, especially during the summer. That is when the ones that could afford to go to college in the states came home for the summer and took summer courses. The environment was great. I went to PCC from 80-83. Military I enter the Army with my best friend on Mar 13, 1975. We went to Basic Training at Ft Jackson and then we split our ways. I went to Ft Bliss for Air Defense AIT. I then was assigned to 2/5 ADA, 2AD at Ft Hood. I then was about to get out and re-enlisted for another MOS (Medical Supply) where I married my first wife in AIT in San Antonio. Afterwards was assigned to Walter Reed from 78-80. DENTAC, Panama 80-83, Academy School House in FT Sam Houston 83-86; then went to Wiesbaden, Germany and stayed there for 6 years 86-92. Made my E-7 and went to Ft Belvoir 93-96, where I married by 2nd wife. Made my E-8 and got reassigned as a 1SG with the 147th MEDLOG BN on Ft Sam Houston 96-99. Retired on 31 Mar 99.
