Christa's Story
Life
I have one son. He is the love of my life. He is six years old. I have been with my husband since 1993. This year will be 15 years. Wow!! I still live close to Venice. I am a Special Education teacher.
School
If I could do it all over again, I would have not been so shy. I would tell the bullies/evil classmates that I was not fat. I just wore huge clothes to cover my assets. I only wore a size 3. I would have joined the dance team because I am a great dancer.
College
I just graduated ...Expand for more
with my Masters degree in Professional Studies. A combination of Business Administration and Education. This was a great accomplishment. What a feeling!!! I am going for my Doctorate now.
Workplace
I worked in a cafeteria during and a little bit after college. I now work as a 4th/5th grade, special education teacher. This job is challenging, but rewarding at the same time. I try to empower the students to not let anyone dictate their future. They should be the ones to decide on their future.
