Christina's Story
Life
My life right now is pretty good. I'm married at an Officer in the US Air Force. We've been married for 8 years and have a 5 year old daughter. We are currently living in Fairfax, VA, about 30 minutes outside of D.C. My husband works at the Pentagon and I work for a Government Contactor. We are both busy with our jobs and all of our daughters activities. She is taking ballet and is a real natural. In what little spare time I have, I love to read and work in the garden. I also like to spend time with friends and enjoy camping and fishing. I also do event planning in my job and on the side. I even helped plan and coordinate my friends wedding, which was great fun.
We are planning to move next year (thanks to the U...Expand for more
SAF) and I'm hoping that we can move back to the west coast so I can be closer to my friends and family.
Workplace
I am currently working for the Ventura Group, Inc., a gov't contractor in the Washington D.C. area. I work as a Program Support Specialist on several of the companies gov't contracts. My main contract is working with civilian recruiters hired by the US Army to replace the 'green suiters'. It's fun work and I have great co-workers and a wonderful boss. I also am a certified Gov't meeting planner and I work to put together conferences, meetings and other special events. I have over 8 years in event planning and I really enjoy that as well. All in all, I've been very lucky and blessed in my professional career.
