Christina's Story
Life
After high school, I immediately began college. I received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with an emphasis in accounting from USM. I worked as the accountant for the Gulfport-Biloxi Airport for a year, absolutely hated it, went back to college and became certified in teaching. I will be beginning my seventh year of teaching at Long Beach High School this school year. I currently teach all varieties of history subjects and LOVE it! My younger brother, Sean, is the head football coach for Long Beach High, so it is a big family thing. I love teaching at Long Beach High School. It is surreal to be teaching on the same halls with the people who taught me...Mrs. French, Mrs. Cole, Mr. Burger, Mrs. Kayes, Coach Ross......
Workplace
I began working in the legal field for Hancock Bank, handeling things such as estates, wills, and testaments. I did this while completing my college degree. After college, I began working as an accountant in the airport. After further education, I began teaching high school, which is where I am today. I cannot imagine working in any other job. I LOVE my students, my co-workers, and everything about teaching. It also allows me much quality time to spend with my daughter.
